### Pouldreuzic, heart of the Pays Bigouden **Pouldreuzic** is the epitome of Breton authenticity. This village in the Bigouden region has a friendly atmosphere and a lively heritage. Just a stone's throw from the ocean, the beach at **Penhors** is a must: a vast stretch of fine sand bordered by the Notre-Dame-de-Penhors chapel and its eco-museum. It's an ideal spot for swimming, sea walks and water sports such as surfing and sand yachting. The town is also famous for its **Maison Hénaff**, home of the famous Breton pâté. Here you can discover the history of a canning factory that has become emblematic of the region, and sample local produce. ### A rich territory to explore Nearby, visitors can explore the **baie d'Audierne**, a protected natural area with wild landscapes where hikers and birdwatchers meet. Just a few kilometres away, Pont-l'Abbé** has a charming castle-museum and lively market, while Quimper**, the cultural capital of Cornouaille, invites you to stroll through its medieval streets and admire its Gothic cathedral. Pouldreuzic is also an ideal base for discovering the **fest-noz**, the Bigouden fishing ports of Guilvinec and Loctudy, and the many coastal paths offering spectacular ocean views. ## 🛣️ By car / auto * From Quimper, take the D40 to Pouldreuzic. * From Pont-l'Abbé, Douarnenez or Audierne, use the departmental roads connected to the local network. * You will probably have to use local rural roads to reach the rue des Mésanges once you reach Pouldreuzic (small local roads). ## 🚍 By public transport (bus / coach) * The **BreizhGo** network serves Pouldreuzic on route **955 (Pouldreuzic - Plonéour-Lanvern - Quimper)**. * The 955 bus from Quimper takes approximately 30 minutes to reach Pouldreuzic. * Check seasonal bus timetables or services on demand (TAD) depending on the time of year. ## 🚕 Taxi / private transfer * You can take a taxi from Quimper, Pont-l'Abbé or any nearby bus/rail station: direct route to your address in Pouldreuzic. * This method is more expensive, but practical if you have luggage or would like a direct journey outside bus times. ## ✈️ Plane / airport + ground transport * The nearest airport is **Quimper-Cornouaille**, about 17 km from Pouldreuzic. * From the airport, you can hire a car, take a taxi or go to Quimper to continue by bus (line 955) to Pouldreuzic. ## 🚆 Train + connection * The nearest SNCF train station is **Quimper**, approximately 24 km from Pouldreuzic. * From Quimper station, you can take the 955 bus to Pouldreuzic.
