On the heights of Bellenaves, Maison Balady is a haven of peace. A green valley stretches out beside our house and everywhere you look you can see Charolais cows blending into the scenery. Because Balady is situated on a hill, you have a wide and beautiful view of the Bourbonnaise mountains. Maison Balady has 3 guest rooms, each with its own shower room and toilet. The ROSE room, the FLEUR room and the CLEO room are each decorated with refinement. There's a common room where you can relax, meet up, read a book or enjoy a meal. We serve a table d'hôtes and a home-made breakfast. Outside, a flower-filled garden with lovely terraces and a swimming pool will give you plenty of time to relax. We are Marco and Marjolaine, your hosts, and we look forward to giving you the warmest possible welcome.

At the end of 2022 we created a new guest room in our house, the Rose room. The room is located on the first floor, at the front of the house and next to the Cleo room. With its high ceilings and velux windows at the front and back, this room is wonderfully light. The room is equipped with every comfort and is decorated with natural materials. The bedroom has a bathroom with shower, WC and washbasin with vanity unit. You will also find an electric kettle and a Senseo coffee machine in the room. So you can make your own coffee or tea at any time.

FLOWER ROOM

On the ground floor is the Chambre Fleur. This room has a separate entrance from the terrace at the front of the house, and there is also a small seating area. On sunny days, it is very pleasant to wake up with a view of the terrace, the pool and the hills to the south. This room has authentic features, such as an antique fireplace with a decorative electric fire. There is a double bed, a seat with a sofa and a wardrobe. In the room, a Senseo coffee machine and an electric kettle are at your disposal so that you can make coffee or tea as you wish. In Bellenaves, Wednesday morning is market day! Very lively in summer, you'll find local produce. The Colettes forest is a great place for walking with many trees. The Sioule and Bouble Viaducts are well worth a visit. The surrounding villages are full of heritage treasures: Chantelle, Charroux, Jenzat... Less than 20 km away, you can also discover the Saint Pourcinois vineyards and their cellars.

We are Marco and Marjolein Verseput from the Netherlands. In 2010 we bought our house in the southern part of the Allier (Auvergne). In 2009 we spent our holidays in the southern part of the Allier (Auvergne). During this holiday, we fell in love with the region and the local people. In 2010 we found the house we loved. With its thick natural stone walls and authentic architectural features, such as beautiful fireplaces, old beams and the old sink (from the early 1800s) in the kitchen. Since 2018, we have been living in this magnificent house and welcoming guests. Life is good in the French countryside, in and with nature, tranquillity, delicious and honest produce from local suppliers and pleasant encounters with guests. We look forward to meeting you!
