After 3 years' work. Come and enjoy this detached, family home in Alsace, at the foot of the Ballon d'Alsace, in Sewen, Haut-Rhin (68). Sewen is a small village in the Doller valley. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you won't be disappointed. From the house, you can join the signposted paths for hiking and cycling. Discover the lakes and chalets. Come and sample the specialities of the valley's farm inns. Accommodation The house on the ground floor - a fully-equipped kitchen (5-burner induction hob, oven, extractor fan, microwave, dishwasher, raclette and fondue machines, toaster, filter coffee maker, Senseo, kettle, etc.). - a lounge, a dining room - a toilet - a bathroom - a laundry room with a washing machine First floor: - 3 bedrooms: * two bedrooms with a king-size bed 180 x 200 that can be separated into 2 beds 90 x 200 * one bedroom with 2 king-size beds 180 x 200 that can be separated into 4 beds 90 x 200. A total of 8 beds 90 * 200 - a bathroom with a large shower, a bathtub and a double washbasin unit - a toilet The beds are made on arrival. Towels and dishcloths are also provided. Outside, there is a terrace table, sun loungers and a barbecue. A garage for storing your bikes and motorbikes in summer and skis, sledges, etc. in winter. Cleaning: We do not charge cleaning costs. For this reason, we ask you to leave the house clean, i.e. in the same condition as when you arrived. If you do not wish to do the cleaning, we will do it for you but we will ask you to pay the cleaning costs.

If you like walking, we are at the start of many signposted footpaths. From the house, you can explore our mountain lakes (Lac du Neuweiher, Lac des Perches, Lac de Sewen, Lac d'Alfeld, Lac du Lachtelweiher) and picnic in the chalets. Come and enjoy regional dishes in the farm inns. They are open from Easter to early December. We're 10 km from a family-friendly ski resort for all abilities. Weather permitting, take a walk around the summit of the Ballon d'Alsace and enjoy a beautiful view of the Swiss Alps and Mont Blanc. If you like cycling, there's the Doller cycle path, which is very pleasant and easy for everyone. It starts in Sewen and runs all the way to Burnhaupt-le-Haut. It follows the old railway line and is a great way to discover our green valley. The Ballon d'Alsace (1247 m altitude), the Col du Hunsruck (748 m altitude), for cyclists who want to do some mountain passes. In the village of Oberbruck, 3 kilometres away, you'll find a bakery, a convenience store and a butcher's and delicatessen. The nearest town is Masevaux, less than 10 minutes away by car, where you'll find chemists, doctors, (Leclerc, Aldi). You can ski at the Ballon d'Alsace, 10 km away, and come and enjoy the pleasures of the snow. Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowshoe trekking, igloos, snowball fights, or simply sledging. If you've got snowshoes, take them with you - they'll come in handy for some winter hikes.
