Situated on the edge of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, this charming semi-detached house – adjoining the owner’s home – welcomes you to a small, peaceful hamlet in the heart of an unspoilt setting. Just 30 metres from the holiday let, on the owner’s property, you have private access to an 8 x 4 m unheated swimming pool. The pool is reserved exclusively for your use during your stay: the owner does not use it whilst the holiday let is occupied. You’ll therefore be able to make the most of this space in complete tranquillity, from 30 May to 29 August 2026. The holiday home is equipped to comfortably accommodate 7 people. However, it is possible to accommodate up to 9 people thanks to the sofa bed in the living room, with a supplement of €5 per person per night for the 2 additional guests. The property has a 1,500 m² enclosed garden with garden furniture, sun loungers and two barbecues – one electric and the other charcoal-fired. A lovely setting to enjoy sunny days with family or friends. On the ground floor, you’ll find a fitted kitchen opening onto the living room, which has a cosy atmosphere thanks to its fireplace fitted with a wood-burning stove – firewood is provided free of charge. A flat-screen TV and ADSL internet access are also available. A shower room with a toilet, fitted with grab rails and a shower seat, completes this level. Upstairs, the ‘Colombe’ bedroom has a double bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The ‘Éloge de la folie’ bedroom also has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. On the second floor, the ‘La Belle Étoile’ bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, as well as a small bathroom. The beds are made on arrival and towels are provided. The gîte is also equipped to accommodate families with babies: a travel cot, high chair, baby bath, changing mat and cot bumper. Electric heating is included. Ideally situated for exploring the Cantal, the gîte is within easy reach of Salers and Tournemire – both listed among the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in France’ – as well as the châteaux of Anjony, Saint-Chamant and La Vigne. Nature lovers can enjoy the many hiking trails in the Monts du Cantal, go fishing in the Maronne or Bertrande rivers, or try their hand at cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the Col de Légal. Shops in Saint-Martin-Valmeroux (7 km away) and Salers (17 km away). Please note: Accommodation for up to 9 people is available for an additional charge of €5 per person per night for any guests over 7 adults. Pets are welcome for an additional charge of €20 per pet per stay. The owner requires proof of holiday insurance on arrival.
