🚗 By car (easiest and recommended) The gîte is ideally located in the heart of the Ardennes, easily accessible via the motorway network : From Paris / Reims: Take the A4 motorway towards Reims, then the A34 motorway towards Rethel/Charleville-Mézières. Take the Vouziers/Le Chesne exit, then follow the departmental road to Sauville (approx. 2? hours from Paris, 1 hour from Reims). From Belgium (Namur / Brussels): Follow the E411 then the N5 / A34 towards Charleville-Mézières. Continue south towards Sedan / Chemery-sur-Bar then Sauville (approx. 1h40 from Namur). Parking: Private, secure parking is available directly in front of the gîte, in the enclosed courtyard. 🚊 By train For rail travellers, the nearest stations offer a combination of TGV and TER trains: Rethel station (35 km / approx. 30 min from the gîte): Ideal for direct arrivals from Paris by TGV (Paris Est - Rethel link in just 1h10). Sedan station (30 km / approx. 30 min from the gîte): Served by regional TER trains and some TGVs. Charleville-Mézières station (37 km / approx. 35 min from the gîte): Major regional railway hub. Travel advice: It is strongly recommended that you hire a car or book a taxi at the arrival station so that you can reach the village of Sauville on your own. ✈️ By Plane For international or long-distance arrivals, several major airports serve the area: Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport: Located around 2 hours 15 minutes' drive from the gîte. It's also very convenient, as you can take a TGV train directly from the airport to the Champagne-Ardenne TGV station (Reims), and then hire a car. Luxembourg-Findel airport (LUX): Located around 1 hour 45 minutes' drive away (via Sedan/Bouillon), ideal for many European connections. Charleroi Bruxelles-Sud airport (CRL): Approximately 1 hour 50 minutes away, ideal for low-cost flights.
