The advantages of the accommodation
Description
Ideally located between the Lot and Garonne rivers, Sainte-Colombe-de-Villeneuve is a little village between the towns of Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Agen, tucked away in an area known as French Tuscany, where hills and plains come together to offer the visitor an unspoilt and luminous landscape. Just off one of the roads winding through the countryside you will discover this vast estate covering nearly 5 acres with the Roc du Lapin guest house. A 350 m² renovated barn made of local stone, with a spacious interior wher wood and stone are perfectly matched. You will most certainly be impressed by the imposing wood-frame structure, renovated in respect of traditional building methods and with genuine materials which dominates the 80 m² cathedral-like living area. After a day spent wandering through the nearby villages and fortified towns such as Pujols, Penne-d'Agenais or Prayssas, you can freshen up by taking a dip in the large private swimming pool and admire the evening sunset while gazing at the horizon or sip your favourite drink, comfortably sitting in the shade of the porch next to the pool while enjoying the smells from the barbeque or the plancha with the promise of a wonderful evening ahead. For hiking enthusiasts, the Way of Saint James of Compostella is only 1km away from the locality of St Jean and for shorter, family excursions, there are several hiking trails in the vicinity of Sainte-Colombe-de-Villeneuve. There are so many other great places to discover in our beautiful Lot-et-Garonne region, the good life and a warm welcome… The house with a 350 m² living area, is made up of a ground floor and an upstairs level. It is close to the owners’ house but with no direct view. Upstairs, vast mezzanine with lounge area TV and sleeping accomodation: 2 single beds (can be joined to form a king-size double) in an alcove. One independent room with a king-size bed and en-suite washroom and WC. On ground floor: 4 rooms. One room with a king-size bed and 3 rooms with 2 single beds (convertible). 2 independent bathrooms one with shower, whirlpool bath. 3 independent WCs. Really large 80 m² living room / lounge, with fireplace. Independent fitted kitchen and utility room with Wmachine/spin dryer. WiFi, Hifi, various games. Floor heating (gas). Baby equipment on loan. Outside large, covered terrace, approx. 75 m², (with plancha, table tennis and table football), adjacent to the house.
