Description
Old stone house in the Gers countryside, restored with respect for its authenticity. A comfortable house for a pleasant holiday, a quiet and restful place. 20 minutes from Auch and its cathedral, 10 minutes from Valence sur Baïse and its Cistercian abbey. Spacious living room with sitting area, fireplace and large fully-equipped kitchen with direct access to the terrace, facing south, south-east. Three bedrooms, two of which have direct access to the grounds. CH1 : 1 bed 160/200 with wardrobe, small table with chair, 2 bedside tables and bench. CH2 : 1 bed 140/200 with chest of drawers, armchair and bedside table. CH3 : 2 beds 90/200, with wardrobe, bedside tables. Shower room with walk-in shower and separate WC. Equipment for the little ones: bed, high chair, changing table, sandpit, and also books, board games, etc. for older children. Terrace and barbecue, garden furniture, shady garden area. The house is open from 01/04 to 31/10. Cold drinks are available on arrival. Discounts of 25% for 14 nights except spa package. * 490 € /week in low season * 690 €/week in high season * 950 €/ spa treatment (21 days) from April to June and from September to October * 350 Euros for a heritage discovery week (excluding spa package).

The holiday cottage is an excellent base from which to explore the many attractions of the Gers: - The thermal baths and leisure centre at Castéra-Verduzan, with its lake ideal for swimming, fishing and water sports. - The numerous walking trails and mountain bike routes through the rolling countryside of the Gers. - Valence-sur-Baïse (10 mins) and the remarkable Flaran Abbey. - Auch (20 mins), with its UNESCO-listed Sainte-Marie Cathedral, historic centre and famous monumental staircase. - The villages of Flaran, Lavardens, Montréal-du-Gers, Larressingle (the ‘little Carcassonne of the Gers’) and Condom. - Farmers’ markets, Armagnac cellars, wine estates in the Côtes de Gascogne and numerous gourmet farms where you can discover the local produce. You can also plan a trip to the Pyrenees; the Blanquet gîte is situated just one kilometre from the Pic du Midi de Bigorre.
