Plaine-Joux: an exceptional site for hang-gliding
Classed as one of the most beautiful hang-gliding sites in the world, Plaine-Joux offers a spectacular panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif. Accessible by car, this site perched on a south-facing plateau benefits from ideal aerological conditions, making it an ideal place to discover and practise paragliding and hang-gliding, all year round.
Very popular with the general public, Plaine-Joux attracts pilots and spectators alike, who marvel at the colourful ballet of sails in the sky. The site has a specially equipped take-off area for pilots in wheelchairs, and is one of the few approved hang-gliding sites in Haute-Savoie.
