It all depends on the commune in which you are staying. In fact, some communes may ask holidaymakers residing in their area to pay a tourist tax, in order to finance expenditure linked to tourist numbers.
The amount of this tax is set by a decision of the local council. The amount of the tourist tax is available from the town hall concerned and on the official government file: https://taxesejour.impots.gouv.fr/FR/ on which we base ourselves. It must be displayed by the owner of the accommodation and must appear on the contract and/or the invoice issued at the end of the stay.
