Dole, also known as the Little Venice of the Jura is a commune located in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It is classified as a Town of Art and History. Dole, a popular destination for heritage lovers, is a river destination. The small port of Le Prélot, located on the Rhine-Rhône canal, has 30 berths offering lovely views. Since 1990, it has been possible to hire a boat for a stopover during the summer season. It's also possible, during your week's stay, to go green with an electric boat, for those who want to experience river life in an environmentally-friendly way. Located 50 kilometres from Lons-le-Saunier, the prefecture of Jura, Dole is also a charming and attractive town that makes it easy to set off on your holiday to visit other nearby towns such as Arc-et-Senans and Find cottage in the Gîtes Franche Comte area
